Coffee Shop Millionaire Scam – Frequently Asked Questions

Be Sociable, Share!

Coffee Shop Millionaire ScamThis Coffee Shop Millionaire scam review will give you some insight as to whether or not it’s for you. But I want you to know one thing – this is not an insider’s view! Why? Look at the screenshot to the right.

I was going to sign up and take this program for a test drive but as far as I’m concerned they are asking for way too much personal information just to get started. Why do they need our address and phone number? To sell this to another list that they’re party to? And now they, too, can bombard us with emails and phone calls? I don’t think so.

On with the review, which will answer some questions for you before you enter any of your personal information.

What Is The Product?

Coffee Shop Millionaire teaches about network marketing and, in their introductory video, uses Clickbank as their example. However, it’s such a brief reference to “something” that really doesn’t provide any information for someone who wants to see what they’re paying for. And there are many other programs out there…that are free…that will teach you about online marketing such as affiliate marketing.

What’s The Company’s History?

Warrior Forum allows marketers the opportunity to promote or discredit various online products and opportunities. In reviewing Coffee Shop Millionaire (CSM) approximately 9 out of 10 Forum members recommended staying away from CSM. That’s an unusually high number of negative reviews in an outspoken from this outspoken community. Many of these comments originated at the time of CSM’s launch back in 2011. There have been few positive reviews since.

Many of the comments included references to other training that is available online and, most notably, that is free.

Who Are The Owners And Can They Be Trusted?

The creator of Coffee Shop Millionaire is Anthony Trister. He has been in the internet marketing game for a while (Coffee Shop Millionaire appeared in 2011) and seems to know many of the other online “gurus” as well. You will need to decide for yourself if that bodes well for you or not.

What Training And Support Are Provided?

  • The videos (8 minutes in length) and lessons include instruction on such things as:
  • Marketing techniques
  • Traffic generation methods
  • Make money locally by selling your services to local businesses
  • How to make money with videos
  • How to make money freelancing or sell SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
  • How to build an email list
  • Article submission
  • How to use social media such as Facebook Fanpages and Twitter

There is also a membership site but that will cost you extra to join and will be a recurring expense to you (see the “Upsells” section below).

This system purports to set you up as the middleman; meaning, you get clients (such as local businesses) and then outsource the work to various freelance sites like oDesk or Elance. You then collect the paychecks without doing very little work.

There have been many complaints of customers not receiving any support back from the company or the owner. For instance (paraphrased):

  • I’ve been waiting for three days now to hear back if I could use my own hosting.
  • I’ve been overcharged by Brain host (CSM’s hosting service) and I’ve sent emails to have this corrected but haven’t heard a thing.
  • I’ve been waiting for over 7 days to hear a response to my question.

This would be concerning for anyone new to online marketing and may have bought into the promises and claims made in the promotion video.

Is There A Free Trial Period That Is Meaningful?

There is no free trial period with this program. You must pay their entry fee of $37.00 just to be able to view any of the information. (NOTE: if you try to navigate away from their promo video the price drops to $27.00.)

Does This Offer A Free Website?

CSM WebsiteThe owner states that he will create, for you, your own “full blown, custom designed, money making website”.

However, while the website might be created free (at a $1995 value) the hosting could cost you as much as $100, depending on the length of time you sign up for. And the domain would need to be purchased as well which shouldn’t cost you more than $4 to $11 per year from one of the reputable domain registers such as NameCheap or GoDaddy.

Are There Any Upsells And Do You Need Them?

The initial cost of $37 per month may be all you need but upon review, Coffee Shop Millionaire quickly and aggressively begin to go after you to buy further upsells once you’re inside. For instance:

  • Six Figure Success Club
  • Hosting/Domain
  • Membership subscription

Does It State “No Work Required”?

CSM TimeYes, promises are made that in 14 minutes you can be earning revenue and that after that it only requires a few minutes a day.

Does This Promise Fast Money?

CSM Rake In The MoneyClaims are made that you don’t need a lot of time or financial commitment before you will make “boatloads of cash”.

It must be noted that no where in any forums or reviews did the author find any actual earning disclosures. Of course, Anthony gladly shows you his and makes promises that you, too, can make this kind of money.

Does This Offer An Auto-Pilot Program? (Sleep and get rich)

This program does make a claim that it will run on autopilot. Anthony gives an example of a Clickbank product that he claims has been generating income since he set it up “five months ago” and he states that he hasn’t touched it since.

He refers to this as “Absolute Autopilot Income”.

Does It Promise Free Or Lots Of Traffic?

The author found no claims of free or promises of huge numbers in traffic volume. However, there was a claim that you would be taught how to generate an email list and you could make a lot of income every time you mailed out to that list

Is There A Money-Back Guarantee?

Coffee Shop Millionaire promises a 60 day money-back guarantee if you’re not satisfied. However, the product is available through Clickbank (an online marketplace that sells digital products) you are able to get your money back should you decide Coffee Shop Millionaire is not for you through them and not directly back from CSM.

Is This A Pyramid Scheme Or MLM?

This is not a pyramid scheme in that you are not attempting to bring others in to buy the product from you and then “they tell two people and so on”. However, Coffee Shop Millionaire does promote their Affiliate Program and offers commissions as high
as 75%.

How Much Does It Cost?

The initial cost of $37 per month may be all you need but upon review, Coffee Shop Millionaire quickly and aggressively begin to go after you to buy further upsells once you’re inside. For instance:

  • Six Figure Success Club – $297.00
  • Hosting/Domain – $100.00 dependent on plan
  • Membership subscription – ???

Does The Product Deliver What It Promises?

Based on a number of reviews, including numerous from those who actually went and purchased the program, Coffee Shop Millionaire does not deliver on its hype.

This program teaches how to sell services but doesn’t teach you how to set them up. You outsource the actual work and mark the services up once you receive the content back from Freelancers.

The information “for sale” is information that is already available for free on the internet. Simply do your own searches on the training modules listed above and you will see for yourself. Also, most of the promo video is talking about a rich and worry free lifestyle if you purchase the product. There is little substance of what that product truly is.

Are There Any Complaints Against The Company?

BBB ComplaintsThere have been numerous complaints from the above-noted forums and reviews. A quick check on the Better Business Bureau website reveals a small handful of complaints that appear to have been resolved. However, as noted in the pricing plan, unsatisfied customers can get their money refunded via Clickbank so there wouldn’t be any complaints logged regarding this.

What Do I Recommend?

I cannot recommend this product to anyone.  By ALL reports the training is simplistic and, judging by the recent Google updates, you are not going to rank a website very well if you use this product.  And,

No rankings = no traffic = no income.  It’s as simple as that!

As referenced in this article, there are lots of sites that offer the training that Coffee Shop Millionaire does but they do it for free. My recommended online business training center is Wealthy Affiliate and you can read my review here.

You will get two free websites and 10 lessons in the Certification Training or the Boot Camp Training…all for free. Take it for a test drive and see for yourself if it’s legit.

OR, if you’re ready to check it out you can go straight to creating your account here…and put your credit card away, you will get 7 days to try it out free and decide for yourself.
