Learn How To Create A Successful Online Business

What Is A Good Blog Post Outline? It’s As Simple As 1, 2, 3

Blog Oulines Simple As 1 2 3It’s not difficult to write a great article as long as you have a good blog post outline (continue reading and decide if I follow my own advice).  The outline is the framework of your post and must follow a certain path, from beginning to end.

In this post I want to explore what I do when I’m creating something new and the steps you should be taking as well in order to write something that will be read.

If you remember nothing else, remember these three things:

  1. Introduction
  2. Body
  3. Conclusion

Group Discussion Topics For Online Baby Boomers – What’s Your Question?

Group discussion topics for Baby Boomers who are working online is one of the most critical elements in building a successful website.  These topics typically run the gamut of everything to do with being or working online; whether you’re looking for technical help with your site, or you need to learn about creating an email list, or even if you want to celebrate online successes.

For instance, here is a screenshot of one of my early surprises after I learned to set up Google Alerts:

My Number two spot in Google Alerts

As you can see, I ranked very well on one of my posts and wanted to share it; no only because it was a “victory” for me but also because I wanted to show my fellow online members that if we do what we are told and follow our training we will succeed online!

Why You Should Write Good Website Content

Content Gets ReadUnless you’ve been living on Mars you have probably heard many speak on why you should write good website content.  TV commercials, newspaper flyers and, yes, even the internet is full of buy this, sign up here, the best deal ever!  And, unless you’re looking for those specific products, you tend to tune them out or click away to the next website on page one.

But why is this?  Why are more and more online marketers dedicating their websites to providing you with the information you are looking for?  It’s quite easy, actually, because if they’re not answering your questions or providing you with the help you need…then you don’t need them!  And you go on your merry search, never coming back to that site let alone telling their friends about it.

So here are my thoughts…and I hope you find this useful or I know you will leave…

Baby Boomer Retirement Secrets

Shhh, don’t let the cat out of the bag.  We Baby Boomers have our retirement secrets and we’re not telling anyone.  Well, OK, maybe I’ll list a few of them but don’t pass it on and don’t let them go public.

There’s no government plot and you won’t see us in this summer’s blockbuster movies.  But because we’ve grown up in times of great changes and advancements you must admit that we “weren’t born yesterday”.  We’ve been flying under the radar and our masses have been quietly biding our time.

The Baby Boomer time is here!

What is Website Traffic and Are You Merging?

How to get more Traffic Most of us know what website traffic is and that our sites, especially those that we want to monetize, depend on visitors pulling over and parking for a while.  Hopefully they’re taking the time to stroll through your pages and posts and will stay and visit for a while (I haven’t figured out how to offer coffee yet through my laptop).

But have you ever wondered how you can merge with this traffic so that you are traveling the same road together?  Do you realize that by joining your “niche convoy” you can enjoy the journey together and still deliver the goods?  This is about another way to think of “healthy competition” that works for everyone.

Many of us write a daily journal for a variety of reasons; whether it’s to jot down our daily thoughts, vent our frustrations, or even as part of a daily blog.  But we don’t expect it to be headline news nor have a newspaper named after us.

In researching this post, I continually found newspaper articles or newspaper names coming up in the search engines.  But I did not want to write for “The Daily Journal”, a newspaper from whatever town that was ranking highest today.

But I do want to write about daily journaling and the advantage of keeping one.  So, all editorials aside, let’s talk about why Baby Boomers might want to keep a journal.

Connecting through social media

Baby Boomers are talking online and sharing their life stories with each other, their families, and anyone else that cares to listen.  Social Media, or Social Networking, has become as common to Boomers as using the rotary telephone and dialing with a pencil.

If this doesn’t sound familiar to the rest of you, then follow along as Baby Boomers take over the next wave of communication…we’ve been there before!

As we all know, there are many networks that bring with them their own “slang”:

  • Facebook likes
  • Twitter tweets
  • Pinterest pins

These are the most common and are being widely used by Baby Boomers.  But they’re also getting:

  • Linked-in
  • Stumbled-upon
  • Posting comments

And are “Googling, Yahooing, and Binging”!
